Veteran Beauty Company Ltd. (Veteránská krása s.r.o) and the Association of Chateau Loučeň Concours d' Elegance, with significant contribution from Raiffeisenbank Bank, Scuderia Prague and National Technical Museum, hold the fourth edition of the unique competition of elegance of historic cars Chateau Loučeň Concours d´Elegance from 3rd to 4th of June, 2017.
Previous years have been accepted by public with extremely good response, especially because of the exceptionality of the exhibited cars, but also because of the social environment, which - as agreed by the participants, event partners, journalists and visitors - highly exceeded standard of the Czech veteran events.
Concours will again be held at the Chateau Loučeň, situated about half an hour drive from Prague, which is associated with the history of the automotive industry particularly because of the Thurn-Taxis family, that owned the Chateau in the past and that owned the shares of the company Laurin & Klement in the beginning of the last century. Prince Erich used the be the Chairman of the Board of Directors.
The Ferrari brand will be dominant at the fourth edition of the Concours. Ferrari is celebrating the 70th anniversary of the establishment this year. (So far) 35 Ferrari cars have been gathered together, many of them are indeed rare pieces. Spectators can look forward to 250 Boano from 1956, 275 GTC (Nürburgring winner from 1966), 365 GTB 4 Daytona, 488 Challenge and many others.
Besides Ferrari, we have invited other selected historic cars. Our aim was to gather rare cars that were imported since the previous edition or cars whose renovation was recently completed and that have not been exposed in the Czech Republic yet. Spectators can look forward to premiere of the refurbished vehicles: Hispano Suiza J12 (once belonged to Maharaj Holkar from Indore), Bugatti T-44 and 57, Horch, Walter, Mercedes Benz, Škoda, Tatra and others. For the first time in the Czech Republic, the famous Bucciali will be exposed and also the beautiful replica of one of the most beautiful cars in the world Bugatti Type 57 Atlantic. There will also be other famous Czechoslovak and foreign cars.
During the weekend there will also be thematic lectures related to the history of Motoring and the Development of automotive technologies.
An exhibition of paintings from Yuri Shevchuk will be also related to the topic of the 70th anniversary of Ferrari; Yuri Shevchuk has been devoting himself to painting of Ferrari cars for many years.
There will also be an interesting cultural program including guided tours of the Chateau.
Prince Erich Thurn-Taxis was one of the owners of the Loučeň castle till 1945. He was a shareholder and since 1907 also the first Chairman of the Board of Laurin & Klement stock company (nowadays Škoda Auto).
Laurin & Klement was established in 1895. Therefore just this year we can celebrate 120th anniversary of this company manufacturing Škoda cars till today.
Come back with us to the elegant era of the First republic, when only few cars calmly cruised the roads. Though they were only few, one was more beautiful than the other. On this world class exhibition you will have an unique opportunity to see the most valuable veteran cars of the world´s most famous brands. To provide you a perfect contemporary atmosphere of the interwar era, all the weekend will be accompanied by swing music interpreted by the finest music groups in Czech republic.
